Nice to meet you.

I suppose there’s pressure to write your own about me section. Pressure to be a little funny, professional and impressive, not use too many exclamation marks and leave a lasting impression. So as this vertical line continues to blink back at me, and I try to think of something a little more cleaver to say, it all boils down to this: I love all things creative.

My mother fostered a highly creative environment for my siblings and I. She even home schooled us for a few years and had us tag along to fabric stores, design stores, museums, homeless shelters, food pantries… She taught us how to be colorists, entrepreneurs, designers. More importantly, she taught us compassion, empathy, awareness, and kindness. Whether it was making home movies in the backyard, renovating another doll house, or making dinner for those in need, I was always creating something. Creativity still follows me everywhere I go.

Over the past 8 years I have accumulated a variety of skills by working both freelance, and at a creative live event production company. I started off as a production designer and art director for a healthy variety of corporate and creative work. Then leaned into graphic design, motion graphics, and video editing. During 2020, I became a project manager and post production supervisor for a boutique agency, and soon after, became department head.

While serving as the department head of Sardis Creative, I was given permission to run the department as if it was my own business. I learned about leadership, management, team development, financial tracking, budgeting, proposals, pitching creative, and so much more. Working in creative and management roles have helped shaped my core skills: problem solving, future thinking, and empathy.

In early 2023, I took on a new role as the Director of People & Culture at Sardis Media. This role is responsible for company wide processes and structure, as well as company culture health and happiness.

What the future holds is anyones guess, but one thing is certain, I will always be creating.
